On 'Imouto and Oniisan'

- oniisan: 'big brother'
- The affix –kun (as in 'Hiromi-kun') is a form of address that's
not quite polite, not quite intimate, but somewhere in between. The best
way to describe it would be 'casual', I suppose. More than an acquaintance
and less than a significant other.
- No, I still don't know what Taka's parents do for a living. And I don't
think we're supposed to ask.

'Our Album', to start off with.
'For You' (music box version) when Taka imagines Kana in her room.
Back to 'Our Album' when Taka's mother shows up.
'Sacrifice' when Taka yells, "It's none of your business!"
'A Melancholy Reason' when Taka says, "I love her."
In this story, I finally get to show the slightly scary, nutso side of Taka. Throughout the game, there are hints that he's not completely stable, emotionally speaking. Ending 3 is a prime example, but his callous usage of Yumi as an outlet for his sexual desire for Kana is also a strong indicator.
In some paths, he starts drinking in order to escape reality. He talks about holding his emotions inside until he has nervous breakdowns. He brooded over his hurt feelings about Yumi for eight years!
I was starting to feel as if the warm, empathic Taka I'd been writing for so long was straying too far from his original persona. So here was a chance to pull him back into line, so to speak. =)
